GAIA -  EDUCATION CENTRE

  Is a non-government and non-profit organization (Reg. No:11547) which deals with various education projects with emphasis on Development, Environmental (in its wider sense) and European Education.

  It was founded in 1992  and is operated by educationalists with vast experience. University professors and others academics, school advisors, experts on school curricula and programmes and teachers of all kinds cooperate with the centre in its various activities.

  In June 1999 GAIA E. C. was awarded the Worldaware prize 1999 by the Council of Europe (North – South Centre) for the project ENJOYING DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION.

  In May 2001 the Director of GAIA E.C. (Dr C. Christidis) was appointed as a member of the Global Education Advisory Committee (GEAC) of the North – South Centre of the Council of Europe.
